Journal of Health Convergence Studies (JHCS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to publishing transformative research at the intersection of medical sciences, engineering technologies, data analytics, and socio-behavioral health disciplines. Grounded in the principle of transdisciplinary convergence, JHCS provides an advanced intellectual forum for clinicians, biomedical engineers, data scientists, health economists, and social scientists. The journal prioritizes scholarship that bridges traditional boundaries to develop holistic diagnostics, connected health devices, intelligent therapeutic protocols, and systemic public health interventions that address multifaceted global healthcare challenges.

Scope and Topics

JHCS welcomes original empirical research articles, transdisciplinary reviews, clinical evaluations, and methodological framework designs. Core thematic areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Convergence Medicine & Bio-Engineering: Integration of nanomedicine, bio-robotics, biomaterials, and mechanical device engineering with clinical therapeutics and surgery.

  • Digital Health & Health Data Convergence: Multimodal health data integration, clinical informatics, AI-driven diagnostics, Internet of Medical Things (IoMT), and predictive modeling for personalized care.

  • Bio-Behavioral & Psychosocial Health Synergy: Interactions between mental health, lifestyle factors, neurobiology, and environmental influences on physical disease progression.

  • Integrated Health Systems & Policy Convergence: Multi-sectoral public health strategies, health economic evaluations of convergent technologies, one-health paradigms, and cross-disciplinary clinical governance.

  • Translational & Precision Healthcare Solutions: Bench-to-bedside and bedside-to-community convergence, biomarker-guided multi-target therapies, and adaptive clinical interventions.

Publication Frequency

Journal of Health Convergence Studies (JHCS) is published triannually (3 issues per year: April, August, and December), operating an online-first continuous publishing model to ensure rapid editorial decisions and open-access dissemination.

Peer Review Process

To safeguard scientific validity and interdisciplinary rigor, JHCS enforces a strict double-anonymous peer review protocol. All submitted manuscripts undergo preliminary editorial screening to assess transdisciplinary relevance, original contribution, structural adherence, and ethical compliance (following COPE, ICMJE, and Declaration of Helsinki guidelines). Manuscripts meeting editorial criteria are assigned to at least two independent international experts representing complementary domains of the manuscript's focus. Peer review criteria center on methodological robustness, interdisciplinary novelty, data reproducibility, clarity of presentation, and translational potential across multiple health fields.

Mission Statement

The mission of Journal of Health Convergence Studies is to accelerate transdisciplinary health discovery by publishing rigorous, convergent research, breaking down academic silos, and delivering open-access evidence that advances clinical practice, medical technology, and population health outcomes globally.
